Overseas

The overseas program at Birkat Moshe is designed to allow qualified students from abroad to take full advantage of the Yeshiva's unique educational environment. Rather than being provided with an alternate track of studies, international students are fully integrated, both educationally and socially, into the regular Israeli program. Overseas students study in Israeli Shiurim and usually maintain a minimum of three daily Chavrutot with Israeli students. They also participate in the wide variety of optional classes that the Yeshiva offers.

.

Outside the walls of the Beit Midrash, overseas students are fully at home with their Israeli counterparts. Be it in the dorms, the dining hall, or on the basketball court, international and Israeli students interact as a single student body. The effects of this remarkable chemistry are felt in all areas. It is the norm to find overseas students spending Shabbat with their Israeli friends, hiking the countryside together when Yeshiva is not in session, and dancing at their weddings. In order to maintain this unique atmosphere, registration to the overseas program is limited to twenty students maximum annually. While fluency in Hebrew is not required, incoming students should have a working knowledge of the language.

The overseas program is structured to ensure that students from abroad are smoothly integrated into the Yeshiva. In addition, a full sight-seeing program is provided over the course of the year. The program is staffed by a director and an on-campus counselor, who provide constant support and supervision.
